Emergency Shelter Program
New Hope CORPS provides Emergency Shelter via partnerships with the Miami Rescue Mission, the Salvation Army, and Camillus House. Our outreach case management staff continue to work with each person placed in shelter to complete a housing plan and achieve document readiness.
Who We Serve
- Open to unsheltered individuals and families—including those fleeing domestic violence, disaster, or sudden housing loss.
- For those currently unsheltered or in unstable housing, shelter placement can serve as a stable stepping stone.
How It Works
- Entry is based on need and bed availability, with referral pathways via New Hope’s and other local outreach teams via the coordinated entry systems (CES) operated by the Miami‑Dade Homeless Trust.
- Length of stay varies, giving each household enough time to secure more stable housing or connect with additional social services.
- Resources may be available for Diversion via reunification with family or friends to other areas.
